Met up with Gerald for Dinner at Sakae Sushi yesterday :D He wasn't really sure about where UOB Center is so he parked his car rather far away from the building... Had to meet him near the junction of AIA Building and Raffles MRT Entrance at Shenton Way instead of Raffles Place MRT. I think we ate about 25 to 30 plates between us... which is not too bad, at least we ate more than we paid for the buffet if we ordered ala carte instead. Had a nice chat with him. Very nice guy, unassuming and sincere. Very much different from the initial impression I had about him when in NUS. Likewise, Hua Soon seems like a nice guy from the few times we converse when he passed me Gerald's CD. Ha.. , just shows how much you cannot judge a person until you know the person better. After talking to Gerald, he really inspire me to spend my time after work more productively. He goes swimming, jogging, aikido, etc... Though I do play volleyball every now and then, there are days I truly felt I could have done much more. So I've decided to go for a jog at PSA today instead of heading home to 'nua'... hahaha.. Well, I need to train for my coming IPPT in ICT too, might as well.
I will be going trekking with him next week. Sounds like an interesting sport. He is jio'ing his Rovers gang. I'm still unsure of the place we are going actually, all the malay town names in Malaysia sounds so similar to me :D He plans to have another trip during the Deepavali holidays too... but I can't make it cos I need to prepare for the up-coming volleyball tournament in Kolam Ayer in Nov if there's any.
My face is finally starting to peel, but thanks to Angeline's advice of putting moisturiser, the peeling was not too bad. According to the term used by Gerald, it's like eraser shavings :D hehehe... After 1 or 2 night, it seems to have mostly peeled off and back to normal, but darker. Have another lesson this coming weekend, and I'm going fully prepared! :D I went down to Chinatown and got myself an SPF 50 Banana Boat Sun Block Lotion, at only $12! Very very cheap. All thanks to Vernon who recommended me the place. :D
I will really miss not going to Kolam Ayer Volleyball practise this Friday as I'm attending ITD Dinner and Dance.. Sianz.. wish that I do not have to attend... sigh... but I'm part of the organising committee and it does not look nice if I give it a miss. I wonder if I should leave early.. say 8pm? :p hahaha... Argggg... choices.. choices.. choices.. if I can choose, I would definately skip it :(
Yongxue will be asking a few of his friends to come down on Sat for volleyball since we are not having enough people. Hopefully we can get 12 to start a decent match! :D
Jimmy told me he had tendered from his job at Borland... And is going to join teaching pretty soon... Should I join him? To do something that i would enjoy more than what I'm doing now? Argggg... more decisions...! Heard from Gerald that alot of people he knows are doing PE Teaching, wonder what are the chances if I apply? Hopefully I get in, finish the course and can proceed with a Master of Physical Education and do something related to Sports as a career :p
